About me

That's who I am and I'm here!
Having lived in Bornova since his birth, Çat grew up listening to his father's rich CD collection, from Pink Floyd to Ray Charles, since he was a baby.
A dubstep fan during his freshman year, Çat unknowingly got into music by performing on his own using a DJ app on his iPad. Throughout high school, he explored diverse genres, honing his guitar and bass skills with rock, funk, jazz, and neo-soul.
At 17, he gave a jazz concert to 1,200 people at the Izmir Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center Grand Hall. In his final year of high school, he took a year of jazz training from Onur Mülayim, a member of the Hacettepe University Jazz Guitar faculty. At 18, he entered the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Jazz Department as a second-place finisher. During his jazz education, he focused on production and music technologies, taking lessons from Can Paşa and Çağan Tunalı. At 19, he worked as Çağan Tunalı's assistant at Noiseist Studio. With the studio experience he gained in seven months, he earned a place in the Istanbul Technical University Music Technologies program.
After dropping out of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) to focus on his music career, Çat released his debut album, "HAYALPEREST," in 2022. In July 2023, he founded the music-focused art collective BoiWeLivin. In early December 2023, he released his debut album, "HAYALPEREST," on all platforms under his label, BoiWeLivin. Three months after the release of "HAYALPEREST," he released his second album, "Boi.", which featured a completely opposite aesthetic.
